“Kano Will Finally Produce a Vice President” — Kwankwaso Speaks on 2027 Ambition

Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has expressed confidence that he will secure the vice-presidential ticket of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking during an interview on Premier Radio, Kwankwaso said the move could position Kano State for greater political relevance and eventually pave the way for the presidency.

“Kano has never produced a vice president… by God’s grace, it will be corrected,” he said.

Kwankwaso also claimed that many southerners are joining the NDC and urged northern leaders to make wise political decisions ahead of 2027.

His remarks come amid reports of a possible joint ticket with Peter Obi, who is expected to emerge as the party’s presidential candidate
