Stop the Blackmail, ADC Ticket Is Open – Eze to Obi Supporters
APC chieftain and public affairs commentator, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has criticised recent actions and rhetoric linked to the Obidient Movement, warning that internal divisions could weaken the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Eze urged key figures within the ADC to set aside personal ambitions and unite behind a common goal of unseating President Bola Tinubu and the ruling APC in 2027. He said the ADC was formed to rescue Nigerians from poor governance, corruption and economic hardship, and warned that this mission cannot succeed in a divided party.
Eze also dismissed claims circulating online that former Rivers State governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, had made statements endorsing Peter Obi, describing them as false and deliberately designed to blackmail and intimidate other party leaders.
He cautioned Obi and members of the Obidient Movement against what he described as desperation, misinformation and internal intimidation in the race for the party’s presidential ticket, stressing that the ADC ticket remains open and should be contested fairly.
While acknowledging Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi as the leading presidential hopefuls within the ADC, Eze said all three must work together in unity to achieve the party’s objective. He warned that Nigerians would not forgive the leaders if personal rivalry undermines the coalition’s chance to challenge Tinubu in 2027.
