”Power Supply Has Improved Across Nigeria in the Last Four Weeks” — Minister Tegbe

Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has claimed that electricity supply has improved across Nigeria in the last four weeks.

Speaking to State House correspondents after being sworn in by President Bola Tinubu, Tegbe said the improvement was the result of strong support from the President and the commitment of stakeholders in the power sector.

“Nigerians have been giving me feedback. In the last four weeks after my confirmation, power supply has improved across Nigeria,” he said.

The minister explained that he has held consultations with key agencies, including the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), the Ministry of Power, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), and the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).

According to him, the collaboration and renewed commitment from stakeholders are beginning to yield positive results in electricity delivery across the country.

‘’Nigerians have been giving me feedbacks. In the last four weeks after my confirmation, Power Supply has improved across Nigeria and this is due to the push by the President and the power he has put behind me and also the commitment of our people in the Ministry of Power and all other agencies. For the last four weeks after my confirmation, I have engaged various key stakeholders in the sector. the TCN, Ministry of Power, NEC, REA and they have all given their commitment and that is what you are all seeing today with the improvement,” he said
