Only fools will believe that we are working for Tinubu – Kwankwaso
Former Kano State governor and NDC leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has denied claims that he is secretly working for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking in an interview with Global TV, Kwankwaso said knowing Tinubu personally does not mean they share the same political ideology.
“We have known each other for years, but we belong to different political camps,” he said.
Kwankwaso also accused some presidential aides of hiding Nigeria’s real economic and security challenges from Tinubu while focusing more on persuading politicians to join the APC.
He further defended his alliance with Peter Obi, saying the coalition carefully chose Obi as the most suitable southern candidate and remains committed to offering Nigerians an alternative ahead of 2027.
He said, “Only fools will believe that we are working for Tinubu. My supporters and I are working for the NDC and for what we believe will benefit Nigerians.”
