To avoid arrest, Nigerians print “fake party money” which they spray celebrants at events (video)
In a bid to avoid being arrested by security agents, Nigerians have devised a new way of giving out money at events. It has been reported that party organizers print out paper notes with the different denominations of the Naira and their faces on them. When guests arrive at their events, they transfer the amount of money they plan to spray to the party organisers who in turn give them the equivalent in form of the party note which the guests then spray. Abia State Govt fumes over plans to install ‘Emir of Aba’
Governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu has issued a warning to those allegedly involved in an unauthorized coronation of one Sarki Shehu Bello 11 as the Emir of Aba Emirate Council. Supreme Court halts move to ban the use of old Naira Notes
The Supreme Court of Nigeria has temporarily halted the move by the Federal government to ban the use of the old N200, N500 and N1000 notes as legal tenders from February 10.
