El-Rufai’s Personal Doctor Arrested by ICPC Over Alleged Misleading Medical Claims
Professor Bello Abubakar, the personal physician of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has reportedly been arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
According to reports, the anti-graft agency detained Abubakar over allegations that he misled investigators into believing that El-Rufai was receiving medical treatment at the National Hospital, Abuja.
The ICPC reportedly claimed that the medical visit was arranged under circumstances that went beyond the purpose approved by the court and the commission.
Sources familiar with the matter alleged that the visit was used for activities outside the scope of the official medical arrangement, prompting further investigation by the agency
