2Baba confronted Annie about me’ – Brymo on his affairs with married women
In a recent appearance on the NotJustOk podcast, Nigerian musician Brymo made fresh allegations regarding his past interactions with music legend 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) and his former wife, Annie Idibia. During the interview, Brymo claimed that in 2019, 2Baba confronted Annie in his presence, directly asking if she had ever been sexually intimate with him.
Reflecting on the incident, Brymo stated, “As at 2019, I remember that moment in Naomi’s office in Lekki Phase 1 when 2Face looked me square in the eye and asked Annie, ‘You don f*** Brymo?’” He added that he viewed the experience as part of a series of complicated encounters with married women, using the occasion to advise younger artists against such relationships, warning that they could lead to serious consequences.
These comments follow a long-standing public feud between the two artists. In 2021, Brymo had similarly alleged on social media that 2Baba had falsely accused him of sleeping with Annie and had even orchestrated a physical attack against him. At that time, 2Baba’s management, Now Muzik, responded by issuing a letter demanding an unreserved apology from Brymo, threatening a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit if the claims were not retracted. Brymo, however, famously dismissed the legal threat, inviting them to proceed to court.
To date, neither 2Baba nor Annie Idibia has issued a public response to Brymo’s latest remarks from the podcast. The couple, whose high-profile marriage faced various public challenges over the years, reportedly separated in 2025.
