We are crying on your mandate; you have failed to protect Nigerians – Veteran Actor, Laide Olabanji tells Tinubu
Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker Laide Olabanji has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration over rising insecurity and continued killings across the country.
Reacting to the recent beheading of a teacher in Oyo State and ongoing attacks in Plateau State, Olabanji questioned the government’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
The actor condemned what he described as the government’s silence and lack of urgency despite the worsening security situation.
He lamented the continuous bloodshed in Nigeria, accusing the administration of failing to govern in the interest of ordinary citizens.
Speaking in pidgin, he said, “On your mandate we dey cry, on your mandate them dey cry, on your mandate, on your mandate. On your mandate people dey die.
“Nigerians are being killed every minute. And you are not afraid of God who created heaven and earth. You’ve turned the citizens’ lives to kite, they are being killed every day, and you are not responsive.”
Sharing the video on his Instagram page on Wednesday, he wrote, “If you can’t give Nigerians good electricity, better roads, if you can’t remove hunger in the country, if you can’t bring down fuel price, kindly give Nigerians good security.
“Nigeria is bleeding, Nigerians are dying in the hands of bandits and kidnapers. Let the killings stop in the country.”
