Canadian government reportedly shuts down Pastor Chris Okafor’s church
Nigeria–Canada–based activist Jimmy Jaf has claimed that the Greater Liberation City International Ministry Centre in Toronto, allegedly owned by controversial Nigerian pastor Chris Okafor, has been shut down.
Jimmy Jaf made the claim in a video shared on his TikTok page on Thursday, alleging that the ministry has been dissolved and can no longer operate legally in Canada.
He further called on Canadian immigration authorities to review the status of Pastor David Igbanor, also known as Bashiru Igbanor, stating that his work permit was reportedly tied to the now-defunct church. According to him, this development means the pastor should no longer remain in the country.
The claims come amid ongoing controversy involving Pastor Chris Okafor and actress Doris Ogala. Jimmy Jaf also vowed that Nigerians in Canada would not allow what he described as “fake pastors” to continue operating in the country
