A Celestial Church of Christ parish in Agege, Lagos, has attracted attention online after publicly appealing to Afrobeats superstar Davido for financial support to complete the roofing of its church building.
The church, CCC Igi Oluwagbin Parish located in the Oko-Oba area of Agege, shared a video and social media post asking the singer to “sow a seed” toward the completion of the roofless worship centre.
The appeal, shared on social media, asked the singer to “sow a seed,” sparking mixed reactions online. Many pointed to Davido’s long-standing reputation for philanthropy as the reason the church reached out to him.
