Blessing CEO arraigned over alleged N69.1m fraud case as court grants her N10m bail in another case

Social media influencer Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, was arraigned on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, by the EFCC before Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos. She faces a two-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing a total of N69,150,000.

During the hearing, prosecution counsel C. C. Okezie requested to move forward with the arraignment, noting that the defendant had been served. While defence counsel Nkama Nneka argued that the service was recent, Justice Oshodi ruled that the legal process should continue, leading to the charges being read to the defendant in court.

This development runs concurrently with another legal battle involving the influencer. On the same day, Justice Dipeolu granted Blessing CEO N10 million bail in a separate case where she is accused of stealing N36 million under the false pretence of leasing a property in Lekki, Lagos.

Blessing CEO was initially arraigned on May 15, 2026, for that separate two-count charge. Following arguments from both the prosecution and defence during a hearing on June 5, the court reserved its decision until today’s proceedings.

These back-to-back arraignments mark a significant escalation in the legal troubles for the self-acclaimed relationship therapist. She currently faces multiple counts of financial misconduct as authorities continue to investigate allegations that she fraudulently obtained and diverted millions of naira.
