EFCC Declares Ex-Minister Sadiya Farouq Wanted Over Alleged Fraud

The EFCC has declared former Humanitarian Affairs Minister, Sadiya Farouq, wanted over alleged diversion of public funds, abuse of office, and criminal conspiracy.

The move follows a court-issued arrest warrant after she and a ministry permanent secretary failed to appear for arraignment over an alleged $1.3 million and ₦746.6 million fraud case.

The anti-graft agency accused the duo of contract fraud, breach of trust, and mismanagement of funds linked to the National Social Safety Net programme.
