NFF places mothers of late Sam Okwaraji and Rashidi Yekini on N30K monthly stipend
The Nigeria Football Federation has placed the mothers of late ex-internationals, Sam Okwaraji and Rashidi Yekini on N30K monthly stipend. The announcement was made on Thursday after the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports Development had on Wednesday placed both matriarchs on N10K monthly stipend. Social distancing is a practical impossibility in most urban areas in Nigeria- Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state says the social distancing policy being canvassed by the Presidential taskforce and the NCDC as part of measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus, is a ”practical impossibility” in most urban areas in Nigeria. Kogi and Cross Rivers are the only states with no confirmed cases of COVID19. Speaking at a press conference yesterday evening, Governor Bello said ”The NCDC must have noticed by now, social distancing is a practical impossibility in most urban areas in Nigeria including Kogi state. Pregnant woman allegedly stabs husband to death in Nasarawa
22-year-old pregnant woman, Veronica Boniface, has been arrested by men of the Nasarawa State command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, for allegedly stabbing her husband to death after suspecting he received a call from a lady she presumed to be his girlfriend.
