Women in a Jigawa village contribute to buy a car to take pregnant women to the clinic
Nigerian journalist, Abubakar Jari has shared how some women in Bordo village of Jahun LGA in Jigawa State contributed N1000 each to buy a car to take pregnant women in the community to the nearest clinic. According to Jari, the nearest clinic to the village is 29km away and the women were able to raise N1m to get a car to drive pregnant women to the health facility when they are in labour.
