2027: NDC will overcome current crisis – Kwankwaso

The vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has called for calm among party supporters following recent judicial developments. He emphasized that the party remains steadfast in its mission to prepare for the 2027 general elections despite current legal setbacks.

Kwankwaso’s statement followed a courtesy visit to the NDC’s National Leader, Seriake Dickson, at his Abuja residence. He described the meeting as a strategic effort to bolster the party’s unity and resolve as it navigates the ongoing litigation regarding its registration.

Reaffirming the party’s dedication to democratic values, Kwankwaso stated, “As true democrats, we remain committed to the rule of law and have absolute confidence in the judicial process. No temporary setback can weaken the spirit of a movement built on hope, justice, equity, and the collective aspirations of the Nigerian people.”

The former Kano State governor framed the legal challenges as merely temporary obstacles that would not derail the party’s long-term objectives. He urged the party base to remain optimistic, asserting that the NDC is well-positioned to emerge from this period of uncertainty stronger than before.

In his message to the public, Kwankwaso stressed the importance of unity and focus. He noted, “I urge all party members, supporters, and well-meaning Nigerians to stay calm, resolute, and focused on our shared mission. Together, we will rise above every challenge.”

Closing his appeal with a message of hope, Kwankwaso reiterated his belief in the resilience of the movement. He concluded by telling supporters, “Nigeria will be OK.”
