“If You Can’t Submit to a Husband, Don’t Get Married” — Pastor Abel Damina Tells Feminists
Founder of Power City International, Pastor Abel Damina, has advised women who reject the idea of submitting to their husbands not to get married.
Speaking during a church service, the cleric said feminism is beneficial when it advocates equal rights and opportunities for women in politics, the economy, and society.
However, he argued that some women have taken the ideology beyond its original purpose by rejecting male leadership while still expecting to enjoy the institution of marriage.
According to Damina, Christian marriage is built on mutual commitment to God’s principles, stressing that believers are first called to submit themselves to Christ before addressing roles within the family.
“Feminism is ladies fighting for equal rights in society, which is ideal. It’s a very wonderful ideology, and it should be like that.
“If a lady doesn’t want to submit to a husband, don’t marry. It’s not a sin for you to be alone and die single. Don’t marry, because if you marry, you will submit one way or the other,” he stated.
