“My Godmother said it is not good to have the cloth you wore to a burial around you”- Actress, Angela Okorie speaks on why she burned the clothes she wore to Alex Ekubo’s burial

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has revealed why she decided to burn the outfit she wore to the burial of late actor Alex Ekubo.

The actress shared the information on her Instagram page, explaining that she acted based on advice she received from her godmother.

According to Angela, she was told that clothes worn to funerals should not be kept after the burial but should instead be destroyed.

“This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial. My Godmother said it is not good to have the cloth you wore to a burial around you; you burn them. So family and friends take note. I felt I should share this information,” she wrote.

She also offered prayers for long life and protection, adding, “May the Lord keep and bless us with long life. Amen. Chai.”
