“ADC Is Too Entangled in Problems” — Political Analyst, Sambo Urges Obi, Atiku to Consider New Platform
Arise News Political Editor Sumner Sambo has advised opposition leaders, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, to consider adopting a different political platform amid the crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking on The Morning Show, Sambo said the ADC is currently burdened by legal disputes and leadership controversies that could undermine its viability as a coalition platform.
“I wouldn’t advise they go ahead with the ADC right now… the problems are numerous,” he said.
He noted that ongoing court cases and questions over the legitimacy of the party’s leadership pose serious risks, adding that while the APC may benefit from the opposition’s challenges, the issues within the ADC are largely self-inflicted.
Sambo urged the opposition to tread carefully in selecting an alternative platform, warning that even other parties could face legal challenges.
