“If I ever decide to work in government, I would still be performing.” – Davido
Singer Davido has said taking up a government position would not stop him from continuing his music career.
Speaking during a livestream, he cited former Haitian president Michel Martelly, who remained active as a musician while in office.
“If I ever decide to work in government, I would still be performing,” he said.
Davido, however, admitted he is now less interested in politics, noting that many Nigerian celebrities who ventured into politics have struggled to succeed.
He added that although he once considered a political career, current realities have made him more cautious.
