National Convention: APC drops Uzodimma as Chairman, appoints Masari
The All Progressives Congress has restructured the leadership of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari as chairman.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who was initially named chairman, has been reassigned as treasurer.
The party also expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90 members to accommodate more stakeholders. Newly added members include Senator Barry Mpigi and other prominent APC figures.
According to the party, the changes were made to reflect zoning considerations and other strategic needs ahead of the 2026 national convention.
