How to unseat President Tinubu in 2027 – Dele Momodu
ADC chieftain Dele Momodu has said President Bola Tinubu can be unseated in the 2027 elections if the opposition adopts the right strategy and builds a disciplined coalition.
Speaking on Arise Television on Monday, Momodu said victory over the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is possible if opposition parties approach the election with clear political calculations, unity and strategic candidate selection.
He noted that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is repositioning itself as a credible alternative ahead of 2027, adding that the party’s constitutional review and coalition-building efforts are aimed at avoiding the mistakes of past opposition movements.
According to Momodu, a successful coalition must treat all partners as equals, stressing that discipline, unity and smart candidate choices are key to challenging the APC.
When there is a coalition, it is assumed that it is a coalition of co-joiners. Everyone at this stage is equal. What the party seeks to do is to be different from other parties.
“Discipline, unity and strategic candidate selection can unseat the APC in 2027,” he said.
