”Governors will organise execution of President if state police is created” – Seyi Law
Popular comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, also known as Seyi Law, has asserted that Nigerian governors might orchestrate the execution of the President if state police were established. There have been ongoing calls for the creation of state police in Nigeria.
Reacting to news that the 33 Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State have collectively decided to break away from the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Seyi Law suggested that Nigerian governors tend to abuse power and would likely misuse state police if it were created.
On his X handle on Sunday, he wrote: “Imagine State Police in the hands of some Governors. They will personally organise the execution of the President.”
