Your movement is a step in the right direction – Obi welcomes Obaseki
Former Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi has welcomed his new party member, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.
Reacting to Obaseki’s defection in a tweet, Peter Obi congratulated him for joining the party. He further stated that his movement is a step in the right direction as it will end the rascality in Edo politics.
He wrote;
“I congratulate @GovernorObaseki for joining the PDP.
“Your movement is a step in the right direction to end the rascality in Edo politics, especially at this time when the country should focus on ways of ameliorating the huge suffering of Nigerians due to #COVID19 pandemic.”
What would you say before? You people (politicians) have already dashed our hope, without Almighty God nothing is possible.
Four governors defected from Apc to Pdp during Oshiomole tenure as chairman of the ruling party and ultimately Apc lost the states the governors defected from. To me i would have loved Oshiomole to continue his chairmanship so that in next two three years, they will lose more states under his watch.
