The Federal Government is prosecuting Mr Maina on a 12-count charge of fraud and money laundering before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja. Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to honour the invitation of the National Assembly. The president had scheduled to appear before the lawmakers on the spate of insecurity in the country but later cancelled. FG reduces Data Price by 50 percent
The Federal government has announced it has reduced the price of data by 50 percent. This was confirmed in a statement by Mr Femi Adeluyi, the technical assistant of the Minister of Communication and digital economy, Dr Isa Pantami in Abuja on Thursday, directing the Nigerian Communications commission (NCC) to put in place measures to that effect. Govt lied, no Agreement on strike suspension date – ASUU
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has stated that the union did not reach any agreement with the Federal Government to suspend its ongoing strike. NCC suspends SIM sale, registration
Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has ordered telecommunications companies to halt the sale and activation of Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) following an audit of the Subscriber Registration Database.
