Police arrest hotel owner, wife over alleged child trafficking, underage sex in Delta
Officers of the Delta State Police Command have arrested the owner of Fagoma hotel at Aragba, Otokutu in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Edwin Etareri and his wife one Mrs Grace Etareri over alleged child trafficking and underage sex.The suspects were arrested during a raid on the hotel where underaged children were allegedly trafficked and used as sex slaves.The police also rescued five underaged children from the brothel.The underaged children included Happiness Johnson ‘f’ age 13yrs, Esther Godspower ‘f’ age 21yrs, Angel John ‘f’ age 22yrs, Miracle Bishop ‘f’ age 19yrs and Happiness Isreal ‘f’ 19yrs.The Delta State Police Command,…

Delta police launch manhunt for father who allegedly masterminded gang-rape of his 16-year-old daughter after accusing her of theft
The Delta State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a father who allegedly arranged for his 16-year-old daughter to be gang-raped. The suspect identified as John accosted the victim on the road while on an errand for her mother and accused her of conniving with her Mother to steal his N50,000. AEDC disconnects Niger state House of Assembly complex and other govt offices over N1.9 billion debt
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has begun the disconnection of government offices in Niger State over a debt of N1.9 billion. The state’s House of Assembly complex, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, and water board among others have all been disconnected. Most of the offices affected were powered by generators when they resumed for work on Tuesday, April 19.
