“He Can Work From France, But Can He Make Life Cheaper?” — Shaibu Challenges Tinubu

Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to show Nigerians the impact of his extended stay in France.

Shaibu’s comments followed a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, that Tinubu could work from anywhere in the world because of technology.

Tinubu, who left Nigeria on August 30 for a working vacation in Europe, extended his stay after travelling from London to Paris.

Reacting to the development, Shaibu said the location of the President’s work was not the issue, but whether Nigerians were seeing tangible results.

“He can work from France, but can he point to one thing his work has made cheaper for Nigerians? No need to bring us kulikuli from Paris. He should just bring answers,” Shaibu said.

He said Nigerians were more concerned about the rising cost of food, fuel and transportation, adding that what citizens needed was relief rather than the President’s return.

“What Nigerians need is relief, and he has failed to deliver it,” Shaibu said, before adding that “Atiku will make life affordable again.”
