Governor Ortom’s convoy involved in an accident, lawmakers injured
Governor Samuel Ortom’s convoy was involved in an accident on Friday morning, January 20. The accident occurred while his convoy was heading for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship campaign rally in Utokon community, Ado LGA of the state. The driver of a branded bus fully loaded with PDP supporters lost control and rammed into three vehicles; a Jeep, a security vehicle, and another bus in the convoy. Bandits abduct school children in Nasarawa State
The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of some pupils of LGEA Primary School, Alwaza, Alwaza community, Doma local government area of the state in the early hours of Friday. The incident was confirmed by DSP Rahman Nansel, the state Police Public Relations Officer. FG increases Petrol price to N185 per litre
The Federal Government has officially increased the price of petrol from N170 per litre to N185 per litre. An internal memo was released to that effect and has been sent to various stakeholders in the oil sector. The ex-depot price also increased from N148 per litre to N167.
