FG to increase salaries of Civil Servants
Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has announced that there are plans by the Federal Government to increase salaries of civil servants. He said that a Presidential Committee on Salaries chaired by the Finance Minister had embarked on a review of current pay. The government is considering a raise due to the rising cost of living caused by inflation. Ngige addressed reporters at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday. He said the advisory group is expected to come up with salary adjustments early next year. The committee is working with the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission.

The Labour Party, LP, has appointed former Political Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Akin Osuntokun as the new Director General of its Presidential Campaign.
