The Abia State Gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Prof. Uchenna Ikonne is dead. He died on Wednesday at the National Hospital, Abuja after having received treatment in a hospital in the United Kingdom. Masari declares work-free days as Buhari visits Katsina state

The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has joined other Nigerians in calling for the deadline extension to phase out the old naira notes.
