    Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the Peoples Democratic Party’s Vice-Presidential candidate has backed calls for cancellation of the ongoing collation of presidential election results.  He said this while speaking at a joint press conference with Labour Party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti-Ahmed, the Delta state Governor stated that the electoral act which Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Yakubu Mahmood, had always wanted, makes it mandatory for elections results to be transmitted from polling units.  He said this would in turn be used for the manual collation. Okowa stated that failure to do this, renders the process invalid.
