Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello has ordered that any individual or business that rejects the old Naira should be arrested. This is coming following the ruling by the apex court that the old notes remain legal tenders until December 31, 2023. FCT monarch slumps, dies in palace.
Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, the traditional ruler of Yaba in the Abaji area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is dead. The sad news was made known in a statement by a member of the deceased family, Shuaibu Abdullahi. He said the monarch died while on his way to observe Magrib prayers within his palace.
