Former lawmaker Daniel Bwala says he feels vindicated after the Senate announced the removal of Senator Mohamed Ali Ndume (Borno South) as Chief Whip on Wednesday. Ndume has been replaced by Senator Tahir Mungono, who represents Borno North. Ndume’s removal follows his recent criticisms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government. Senate removes Ali Ndume as Chief Whip
The Senate has removed Senator Mohamed Ali Ndume (Borno South) from his position as Chief Whip. Ndume’s removal was endorsed by members of the APC Senate Caucus during a plenary session on July 17, following a voice vote led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. The Federal Government has announced the distribution of approximately 20 truckloads of rice to each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, each receiving 1,200 bags of 25kg of rice.
