Buhari leaves for Russia today
President Mohammadu Buhari leaves Nigeria to Russia today to attend a three-day Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi, Russia, between Oct. 23 and Oct. 25 according to a statement by the presidents spokesman, Garba Shehu who said the summit would focus on exploring and expanding opportunities in security, trade and investment, science and technology, and gas production. During the summit, President Buhari will meet with President Vladimir Putin of Russia to further strengthen relations between Nigeria and Russia. 228 Prisoners escape Kogi Prisoner.
It has been reported that about 228 prisoners have escaped from the Medium Federal Correctional Centre located in Koton Karfe, Kogi State. It was gathered that the heavy downpour on Monday caused the collapse of some parts of the Correctional facility aided the escape of the prisoners.
