Nigerian Investigative Journalist has confirmed that he is in hiding as he knows he is being hunted by security agents. According to reports he is wanted for exposing the corrupt practices in the Nigerian Police Force and Nigerian correctional service. The Special Adviser to the President on Social Investments, Mrs Maryam Uwais, has said that the Federal Government has been channeling the recovered funds from Abacha’s loot to the poor and vulnerable Nigerians. Saraki to forfeit houses in Ikoyi according to court order.
The Federal high court in Lagos has ordered ex-senate president, Bukola Saraki to forfeit two of his properties in Ikoyi. Justice Mohammed Liman made the temporary forfeiture order following an ex parte application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The EFCC said the landed property known as No. 17A McDonald Road, Ikoyi, was reasonably suspected to have been acquired with proceeds of unlawful activity.
