Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy orders NCC to sanction telecos over illegal charges.
The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami has ordered the Nigerian Communications commission (NCC) to sanction any telecommunication firm imposing illegal charges on customers. This was according to a statement on Thursday where the commission also ordered that the new charges on Unstructured Supplementary Service Data should be stopped. It has been revealed according to budgIT State of the States 2019 edition that out of the 36 States in Nigeria, only 3 states can Finance their expenditure independently without Federal allocation the other 33 State Governments cannot financial its expenditure without Federal Government allocation.
