Gunmen attack Three Nigerian Friends in South Africa.
The Nigerian community in South Africa has confirmed that one of its member was killed and two others injured by unknown gunmen. 228 Prisoners escape Kogi State Prison.
It has been reported that about 228 prisoners have escaped from the Medium Federal Correctional Centre located in Koton Karfe, Kogi State. It was reported that the heavy downpour had caused the collapse of some parts of the correctional facility and had aided the escape of the prisoners. The wife to Nigeria’s first prime minister, Tafawa Balewa has been buried on Monday at the Bauchi Central Cemetery in Bauchi State. Hajiya Jummai Abubakar passed away on the 27th of October 2019 at the age of 85 after a Long Illness. She left behind 8 children and several grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace.
