Senator Abbo receives ‘Beacon of Hope’ Award.
Senator Elisha Abbo who was caught on camera assaulting a nursing mother at a sex toy shop in Abuja, has received an award for “Beacon of Hope”. The lawmaker representing Adamawa north received the award at the 4th edition of the Adamawa Celebrities and Achievers Awards (ACAA) which held in Yola, Adamawa state capital. Abbo had earlier received an “Icon of Democracy’ by the Inter-community Awareness for Change and Development Initiative (IACDI)” shortly after the assault incident. He had pleaded not guilty in the case that would have landed him a three-year jail term.

Armed Robbers trapped in Abuja Bank arrested
Earlier today, a video had been making rounds on social media as some robbers were trapped in a First Bank branch at Mpape, Abuja. The entrance of the bank was said to have been blocked by SARS agents who had to call for the help of some soldiers. Few hours later, it was reported that the culprits had been arrested which includes one banker and three robbers. It was also reported that one of them was killed.

The Islamic State group has claimed to have killed 10 Christians in Nigeria, according to a video released on December 26. The terrorist group claimed the killing was made to coincide with Christmas celebrations. A 52-year-old pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, Gabriel Diya, alongside his 16-year-old son, Praise Emmanuel Diya and 9-year-old daughter, Comfort Diya, have died.
