Senate increases, passes 2020 Budget
The senate has passed the budget for the year 2020 following an increment from N10.33 trillion presented by President Buhari on October 8 to N10.6 trillion (10,594,362,364,830). In the report presented by Jibrin, N560.47 billion is for statutory transfers. While the daily oil production rate at 2.18 million per barrel was maintained, it however, increased the Oil Benchmark Price to $57 per barrel against the $55 proposed by the Executive.

FG Files Suit against Ifeanyi Ubah Over False Claims, N135b Debt
The Federal Government has filed a suit against Ifeanyi Ubah senator, representing Anambra south, over alleged false claims and indebtedness of N135 billion to the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria. The lawmaker was supposed to be arraigned on Wednesday at a federal high court in Lagos, but his case was adjourned till February 2020 over his absence. Buhari approves appointment of Nine new Permanent Secretaries
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday approved the appointment of nine new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service. This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Director of Communications in the Office of the Acting Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Olawunmi Ogunmosule The new permanent secretaries were drawn from the six geo-political zones as well as Borno, Niger and Ogun States.
