APC not at risk, forces against them have joined their Ancestors – Oshiomhole
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole has assured that the ruling party was not at risk of losing Edo state in the 2020 governorship elections. Oshiomhole said this on Friday when he spoke to State House correspondents shortly after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari. According to him, some PDP forces that could have served as stumbling blocks in the state had joined their ancestors and that the party has already been accepted in the state.

Bowen University Bars DJ from Playing Naira Marley’s Song
A Twitter user by the name Darasimi shared a letter gotten adding from Bowen University barring a DJ who would perform at the faculty of law dinner from playing any of Naira Marks’s songs with the caption ‘Bowen University won’t kill me.’ According to the letter, failure to do so would lead to the termination of the contract.

Oshoala ranks 55 in UK Guardian’s 100 Best Female Footballers of 2019
Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala has been ranked as number 55 on the Guardian’s list of 100 best female footballers of 2019. Oshoala, who was at number 86 on the 2018 list, moved up 31 places this year to become the highest ranked African. Court orders transfer of El-Zakzaky from DSS custody to Correctional Facility
A Kaduna state high court in a ruling on Thursday ordered the transfer of Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), and Zeenat, his wife from the custody of the Department of State Service (DSS) to a Correctional Centre in the state to make it easy for their lawyers and doctors to have easy access to them. El Zakzaky and his wife were arrested since December 2015 as the case was adjourned till February 6, 2020.

Court sends Senator Kalu, 2 others to 12 Years imprisonment for N7.66bn Fraud.
A court sitting in lagos has sentenced former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu and two others for N7.66bn fraud levied against them by the Economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC). His co-accused are Slok Nigeria limited and Mr. Udeh Udeogu(Director of Finance and Accounts at the Abia State Government House during Kalu’s tenure as governor). He was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.
