Senator Ben Uwajumogu Dies At 51
Benjamin Uwajumogu, senator representing Imo North, has reportedly died. The Lawmaker was said to have slumped and was taken to a private hospital in Abuja, where he was confirmed dead. A close ally of Uwajumogu said he appeared healthy and even contributed to debates on the floor of the upper legislative chamber on Tuesday, TheCable reports. “I was with him yesterday in his office. I was with him till 4pm yesterday. It is sad,” he was quoted to have said.

Buhari swears-in new Permanent Secretaries including Ngige’s Wife.
President Buhari has today sworn in Wife of the Minister of Labour, Dr Evelyn Ngige alongside nine others as new Permanent Secretaries. Orji Kalu cites Poor Health as he seeks Post conviction Bail
A former governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu, who was on December 5 convicted of N7.1bn fraud and sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment, has urged the court to grant him a post-conviction bail.
