1,177 FUOYE Staffs register with IPPIS, Goes against ASUU.
About 1,177 staffs of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), on Tuesday, registered with the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) This is coming as a surprise development to many, considering the stance of the academic Union of Universities on the new payment system. According to the leader of the delegation, Mrs. Ebiere Ejikeme, the registration was in conformity with the directive of the federal government to incorporate staff of universities across the nation into the new payment system.

Former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia has reportedly started a GoFundMe appeal to raise money to fund his case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in order to overturn the life ban slammed on him by the world football governing body FIFA. The Nigerian Army has reacted to the accusations by Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno state, that soldiers extort commuters on Damaturu-Maiduguri road while Boko Haram is on rampage in the state. Two friends die of Charcoal Smoke while keeping warm in Jos
Two friends, Saminu Idris and Idris Dahiru, both 25, have reportedly lost their lives. They died on Saturday morning due to smoke from a locally made charcoal room warmer.
