Kabiru Muhammad, the man who allegedly created a fake wedding video of President Muhammadu Buhari and two female ministers has been granted a N1 million bail. He was arraigned before a magistrate’s court in Kano on Tuesday Muhammad was accused of falsely publicising a fake wedding ceremony meant to take place between President Muhammadu Buhari and Sadiya Umar-Farouq, minister of humanitarian affairs and disaster management. My Mandate has been restored – Uzodinma speaks on Supreme Court victory
The newly-declared governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma, has reacted to Supreme Court judgement on Tuesday which sacked governor Emeka Ihedioha. Reacting , Uzodinma said that his stolen mandate has been restored by the Supreme Court. Religious activities banned from Kwara State Schools.
Kwara state government has issued a stern warning to religious organisations against preaching or any form of religious activities in public schools in the state. This comes after a separate assembly was held forcely held for Christians and Muslims in a public school. Supreme Court sacks Ihedioha, appoints Uzodinma
The supreme court of Nigeria has disapproved of Governor Ihedioha’s appointment saying he was not duly elected and so declared Uzodinma winner. A seven-man panel of justices that was led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad and Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun who delivered the lead judgment ordered the immediate withdrawal of the Certificate of Return that was issued to Ihedioha. It ordered that a fresh Certificate of Return should be issued to Uzodinma forthwith, adding that he should be sworn-in immediately as the governor of Imo state.
