Coronavirus: Buhari Government suspends all trips to China
Following the outbreak and spread of the deadly Coronavirus, the Federal Government, Wednesday, advised all travellers from Nigeria, including those, planning to travel to China, to suspend their travel plans until further notice. This advisory was dropped by the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, while addressing State House Correspondents in Abuja. Gbajabiamila calls for Constitution amendment to fit Amotekun
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has directed the House to commence constitutional amendment to give Amotekun the legal backing. He stated this during his welcome address at the house on Wednesday. The Speaker in his statement noted that Amotekun was created due to the gaps in the security architecture in the country. AGF had declared the outfit but has come to a reasonable standpoint with the Southwest Governors, reservations have been expressed in some quarters of the country on the license of the security outfit.

FG approves N33,000 Allowance for Corps Members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Director-General (DG), Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has confirmed that the Federal Government has approved N33,000 allowance for Corps members. The NYSC-DG made the announcement while speaking to Corps members at the NYSC Bauchi State Secretariat during his working visit to the State. In a press statement posted on the official Facebook page of NYSC, the DG said: “provision had been made for the new allowance in the year 2020 Budget, adding that payment would commence as soon as funds are released by the appropriate authorities.”

Court fixes new Date for Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has set March 31, 2020, for the resumption of the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
