Recruiting a 100,000 Soldiers will not combat Insurgency – Shehu Sani
A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has said that the purported move by the Federal Government to recruit new soldiers to fight insurgency in the North East will not bring the desired solution. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approached the Supreme Court with an application urging the court to reverse its decision on the governorship election in Bayelsa State. Uzodinma seeks refund of N32b to Imo State during Aso Rock visit
Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma on Thursday visited President Muhammadu Buhari requesting for a refund of state funds spent building federal roads in the state. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday February 19, revealed that that 103 people have been killed by Lassa fever since its recent outbreak on December 30, 2019. victims of the disease resided in Ondo, Edo, Ebonyi, Kano, Kogi, Kaduna, Taraba, Plateau, Bauchi, Enugu, Abia, Benue, Borno, Gombe, Sokoto and Katsina. Police arrest Suspect over murder of Aso Rock Director
The FCT police command has reported the arrest of a suspect in connection with the murder of Laetitia Dagan, an Assistant Director in Aso Rock. she was murdered in her apartment by unidentified persons at about 11pm on Monday after her return from work. The FCT Criminal Investigation department says preliminary investigation shows that the suspect allegedly conspired with some others who are still on the run.
