Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha has taken to her Twitter page to reveal that she has begun an initiative for the girl child. She named the project ‘Pad for Every Girl’ (PEG). Custom seize N8m stashed inside Car in Lagos
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) says it has seized $8,065,615 stashed inside a car at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. Hameed Ali, NCS comptroller-general, made this known at a press conference on Tuesday, adding that the car, was intercepted when it was about to be loaded into an aircraft. Daniel Amokachi becomes Nigeria Football Ambassador
Former Super Eagles forward, Daniel Amokachi has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria’s Football Ambassador. This was made known by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu on Tuesday. Garba Shehu pointed out that Amokachi’s assignment would include helping the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to scout for talents and also been part of processes to revive the country’s football development, as well as mentor young sports men and women.

Man killed at Naira Marley’s London Concert
According to reports, a man was stabbed outside Naira Marley’s concert last night at London’s O2 Academy in Brixton. Police officers who got to the scene of the incidence around 9.40pm to report that a young man had been stabbed outside the venue where the artiste was playing. The show continued after the place was cleared as the doors were shut by the staffs of the hall, people outside were refused to enter the hall and were left agitated and confused outside.

Nigeria is the safest Country to Live in the World – Lai Mohammed
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has described Nigeria as the safest country to live in the world. The minister reportedly made this statement while welcoming Finland Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Jyrki Pulkkimen and his team, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Monday. Thugs set Imo INEC Office on Fire
The Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC office in Orlu local government in Imo state has been set on fire by suspected thugs on Monday, 3rd February. Orlando Ikeokwu, police spokesman in the state confirmed the news. “I can confirm the incident to you but the cause of fire outbreak is unknown for now. The state commissioner of police has dispatched security operatives to the scene of the incident,” he said. The incident is believed to be connected to the recent Supreme court judgement which sacked Emeka Ihedioha as governor of the state and pronounced Hope Uzodinma as winner.
