Declare Herdsmen Terrorists, uphold Ogbunigwe – South-East tells IGP
The Southeast region, on Wednesday, demanded that herdsmen be declared terrorists and the establishment of Ogbunigwe security outfit be upheld. Joseph Yobo appointed Super Eagles’ Assistant Coach
Super Eagles defender and captain, Joseph Yobo has been appointed by the Nigerian Football Federation as Assistant Coach of the team. He is to replace Imama Amapakabo in the technical crew of the senior men’s National team. Singer, Victor Olaiya dies at 89
Veteran highlife singer Victor Olaiya has died at the age of 89 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). His death was confirmed by Michael Odiong of Premiere Music, the record label that holds his music repertoire. He died around noon on Wednesday. Papingo Dalaya, as the highlife maestro is called, was born on the 31st of December, 1930 in Calabar, Cross River State but hails from Ijesha-Ishu, Ekiti State.

According to a new World Bank Report, Northern Nigeria accounts for 87 percent of all the poor people in Nigeria in 2016. The report titled ‘Advancing social protection in a dynamic Nigeria’, released on January 28, 2020, was described as a ‘detailed analysis of the social protection sector’ in the country.
