Breaking: Ihedioha loses as Supreme Court upholds Imo Judgment
The Supreme Court, Tuesday, dismissed the applications brought by erstwhile Governor Emeka Ihedioha urging it to review its judgment in favour of incumbent Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state for lack of merit. Justice Sentus Nweze one of the members of the 7-man panel differed on the ruling saying, the ruling will continue to haunt the legal jurisprudence of the apex court on issue of its status of finality, he further invalidated the victory of Uzodinma and reinstated Ihedioha. Pope Francis, who is suffering from a cold, has tested negative for the coronavirus, an Italian newspaper reported Tuesday, as Italy battles Europe’s worst outbreak. The 83-year-old pontiff has been seen coughing and blowing his nose, but the Vatican on Sunday quickly shot down speculation that the pope himself had come down with COVID-19. The Supreme Court has adjourned till tomorrow, March 3, its hearing of the application filed by the Peoples Democratic Party’s Candidate in Imo State.
