Lagos State shuts down Agege Central Mosque over attack on COVID-19 Taskforce (photos)
The Lagos State Government has shut the Agege Central Mosque after some worshippers on Wednesday April 1st, attacked members of the State COVID-19 Taskforce mandated to monitor and enforce compliance against public gatherings exceeding 25 people. The taskforce team acting on a tipoff, stormed the mosque to stop the prayer session but were rather attacked by the over 300 Muslims praying in the mosque. Read initial story here. Coronavirus: French Government evacuate Citizens from Nigeria
The French government on Thursday evacuated over 399 of its citizens from Nigeria over the Coronavirus pandemic, The Nation reports. This comes after the united states also airlifted some of the citizens in Nigeria. The French nationals were airlifted out of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, by an Air France aircraft after completing necessary security and health checks.

Buhari has directed us to make sure Salaries are paid – Minister

Ooni of Ife imposes Curfew for spiritual cleansing over Coronavirus
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, has called for spiritual cleansing to fight against coronavirus as he imposed a curfew in the ancient city. Coronavirus: 6 week old Baby dies in Connecticut
A 6 week old baby has been killed by the novel Coronavirus in Connecticut, a state in the US. The sad news was announced by the Governor of Connecticut, Ned Lamont on his Twitter page which according to him is the first paediatric fatality in the state linked to covid-19. Coronavirus: Nigeria’s Case hits 173
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday confirmed twenty three new cases of coronavirus in the country.
