Missing Osun Coronavirus Patient Found
Earlier this morning it was reported that a Coronavirus patient had escaped from the Isolation Centre in the Ejigbo area of Osun state. The missing patient was among the 127 returnees from Cote d’Ivoire who were received about a week ago and kept in isolation to avoid community transfer of the virus and was found missing when a head count was taken this morning. The State Commissioner of Information, Funke Egbemode, has confirmed that the patient has been found and returned back to the center.

Enugu State Commissioner for Health is dead
Enugu State Commissioner for Health, Professor Anthony Ugochukwu is dead. He died at a private hospital in the state on Friday night, April 3rd The member representing Oji River state Constituency in the Enugu House of Assembly, Jeff Mbah, confirmed Ugochukuwu’s demise. “It is a great loss to both Enugu State and Nigeria. We are talking about a renowned Professor of Surgery who has a lot to offer in turning around the health sector. It is a terrible blow”, he said.

Biafra Group reacts to prompt discharge of Covid-19 Patients in Nigeria
Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL has questioned the prompt discharge of Covid-19 patients from the isolation facilities asking the Nigeria Center for disease control (NCDC) if they treat Malaria or Coronavirus. Covid-19: Lagos State records First death
The Lagos state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, has announced the first Covid-19 related death in Lagos state. A 55 year old man who retuned to Lagos from Holland two weeks ago. He confirmed this on his twitter page saying the deceased had a Kidney transplant 7 years ago, was diabetic and was on high immune suppressing drugs. See his tweet below:

FG to vacate Nigerians Abroad willing to return Home.
The Federal Governement has announced plans to evacuate stranded Nigerians Abroad back home due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was according to a statement by the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri, she disclosed that the evacuation process was initiated following pleas from Nigerians who are stranded abroad due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed six new cases of coronavirus in the country which totals the number of cases to 190.
