300l UNIJOS Student mistakenly shot by Soldier
A 300l student of UNIJOS has been killed by the Nigerian Army Special Task Force, Operation Safe Heaven (OPSH). The unfortunate incident was confirmed by Media Officer of OPSH, Ibrahim Shittu who said the sad incident occurred when personnel of the task force responded to a distress call on activities of cultists and armed robbers at No. 18th Street axis, opposite Hwolshe community on Tuesday May 12. Buhari approves revised 2020 Budget
The Federal Executive Council has approved the revised Medium Term Expenditure Framework and the 2020 budget. The revised estimates are based on $25 per barrel of crude oil at a production rate of 1.94 million barrels per day. Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, had told Reuters the government would drop the oil benchmark from the initial $57 per barrel to $30 due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

27-year-old crushed by Van conveying Policemen in Imo state
A 27-year-old man identified as Chinedu Nwedu was crushed to death on Sunday May 10, by a vehicle conveying two policemen in Eziorsu community in Oguta council of Imo State.
