A pregnant woman who was in labour died today after she was allegedly delayed by police officers for not wearing a face mask in the Ogun Waterside local government area of Ogun state. According to reports, the deceased, Waidat Adedeji, went into labour and was being rushed on a motorcycle by one of her children to the Ita-Otu General hospital when they were stopped by police officers at Sowore checkpoint. Soldiers insulting Buratai in viral video have been identified & will undergo observation and counseling – Defence HQ
Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters has reacted to the viral video of soldiers who were seen insulting the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, after an ambush which led to the death of two soldiers and also left three others injured. Rwanda builds five screening Robots for Covid-19 Patients
Rwandan Health Ministry have announced an edge in the fight against coronavirus. They have built five high tech anti-epidemic robots that have been equipped with screening capabilities and will help administer temperature checks, monitor patient status, and keep medical records of about 50 – 150 patients each. They were built mainly to reduce the infection risks of the virus. The Ogun state police have arrested three friends; Mathew Idosu, John Feyisetan and Samuel Adegbola, who are suspected to be herbalists as they were caught with fresh human hands. IGP exempts essential workers from lockdown movement restrictions and curfew
Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu has cancelled the order restricting the movement of essential workers during lockdown. This comes after essential workers in Lagos were blocked off at several police checkpoints around the state at the start of the 8pm curfew.
